An Evening with Barry Lopez
Friday May 8th
Join McKenzie River Trust and the Hult Center in spending an evening with Barry Lopez. Barry Lopez, the acclaimed writer, explorer, and long-time McKenzie River resident will read and reflect on his life-long study of the natural world and human culture. This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of the greatest twentieth-century American nature writers and to lend your support for MRT, in celebration of our 20th anniversary.

Green Island Birding Tour

Join our expert birders for a pleasant morning of bird watching at Green Island! Feel free to bring your own binoculars and dress for the weather. Please RSVP by May 13th as space is limited.

Mt. Pisgah Wildflower Festival
Sunday May 17th
The Wildflower Festival, co-sponsored by the Native Plant Society of Oregon and Lane Community College, takes place in May on the Sunday after Mother's Day and features extensive displays of Oregon's native and naturalized flowering plant species. A large variety of plants (including many native species), food, natural crafts, books, t-shirts, and educational materials are available for purchase. Children's activities, music, and raffles add to the festivities. Visitors may also take guided tours of the Arboretum to learn about the area's ecology and history. Please stop by our booth!
