Roberts Island
Roberts Island is composed of two islands and a portion of bank along the McKenzie River totaling just under 18 acres. This property has over 3/4 of a mile of river frontage making it primarily riparian habitat with some wetland habitats. The islands display mature cottonwoods, cedars and maples that provide habitat for deer populations. Western pond turtle and red-legged frog along with other reptiles and amphibians have been spotted here. Many species of waterfowl use Roberts Island as breeding and nesting ground and side channels provide exemplary habitat for over-wintering salmon and steelhead.
