First Saturday bird walks with the Lane County Audubon Society were created in celebration of their Inclusivity and Diversity Statement. These walks are reserved for women, BIPOC, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities. Birders of all levels and backgrounds are welcome to join, particularly those who may have felt intimidated at the thought of birding alone or on other guided walks.

Lane County Audubon Society currently offers two monthly walks. 1st Saturdays are reserved for women, BIPOC, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. 3rd Saturdays continue to be open to all participants.
