Evening Beaver Tour at Green Island – Postponed

June 19, 2020 @ 1:30 am - 3:30 am PDT

The American West is renowned for its wild places. From the Cascade Mountains to the coastline, water has shaped the lives of humans for millennia. Join McKenzie River Trust on Green Island, MRT’s largest protected property, to explore the history of the Willamette floodplain, and learn how two keystone species, beavers and humans, are helping restore critical land along the river’s edge.

About your Tour Guide:

Elizabeth Goward is a lifelong Oregon resident and lover of all things wild!  As the Volunteer Coordinator with McKenzie River Trust, she runs the Beaver Believers monitoring program, a community science project aimed at documenting beaver activity in the Upper Willamette Watershed.

Registration opens one month before tour.
