Amber is a senior undergraduate at the University of Oregon, pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in the life sciences. Interning with McKenzie River Trust in the summer of 2022, Amber stepped into a staff position as the Operations Assistant in September (2022). Amber grew up enjoying the Olympic National Park as her backyard, and spends as much free time as possible camping, hiking, backpacking, running, and bicycling. Before continuing a formal education she spent 5 years working in sustainable agriculture learning about biology, ecology, and soil science hands-on, and is still involved in the local food movement. She is passionate about advocating for the earth and encouraging positive, holistic relationships between humans and nature. She dedicates her time to projects focused on sustainability, community resilience, land stewardship, and environmental justice.
