Betsy Johnson

Director of Philanthropy

Betsy Johnson joined the McKenzie River Trust as the Director of Philanthropy in September of 2021. Hailing from Leelanau County, Michigan, Betsy brings with her 25 years of non-profit experience. Her previous work has included 15 years of fundraising on behalf of the Nature Conservancy in Missouri, as well as work with smaller land trusts. With many years of experience helping conservation organizations meet their fundraising and land conservation goals, Betsy knows the immense value of nature for people and the planet. Betsy and her labradors, Arrow and Penny, are excited to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and support the work of McKenzie River Trust in western Oregon.
