Helena is currently in her second year pursuing a Master’s of Nonprofit Management Degree with a focus in environmental studies at the University of Oregon. Over the summer, Helena had the pleasure of being a summer camp director on Orcas Island, where she connected youth to their environment by leading kayak trips and teaching about environmental education. Helena’s passion is uniting the younger generations with nature and the outdoors. Helena has experience working at a variety of nonprofits engaging in volunteer and event management, development, and community engagement. When she is not kayaking, you can find her rafting the McKenzie River, rock climbing, or camping all over her beautiful home of Oregon. Helena joined the McKenzie River Trust Board to learn more about restoration and conservation, board governance, and to make a difference by helping to protect the land in the new place she calls home.
