David retired in 2018, after a 34 year career in medicine, specializing in Radiation Oncology. He co-founded the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in 1997, and was medical director until 2016. David also served on the executive committee of The US Oncology Network. David is married to Catherine Kordesch, and they have three daughters who love the outdoors. David and Catherine are longtime supporters of McKenzie River Trust, The Nature Conservancy and the Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts. Catherine is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. David is a member and past-president of Emerald Aquatics, a US Masters swim team. David and Catherine enjoy hiking, backpacking, and open water swimming.
