Tom Barkin
Board Member
Tom Barkin comes to the McKenzie River Trust Board as a lawyer with long experience working in regulation of energy, water, natural gas, and telecommunication utilities. From 1987 to 2003, he was Chief Administrative Law Judge at the Oregon Public Utility Commission. From 2004 to 2013, he ran his own consulting business, specializing in telecommunication issues. He has also served on the Boards of several nonprofit organizations. For the last four years, he was the Slow Food USA Regional Governor for Oregon and Idaho. Tom moved from Madison, Wisconsin to the rivers, ocean and mountains of the Pacific Northwest in 1977.
