A Eugene resident since 1984, Bob recently retired as Regional Business Development Officer for the Oregon Business Development Department. He served as Senior Policy Advisor for Forest Policy for Governor Barbara Roberts and natural resource policy advisor for Congressman Peter DeFazio. Previously, Bob was General Manager of BRING Recycling, Executive Director of the Northern Alaska Environmental Center in Fairbanks, Alaska, and spent five seasons patrolling the Oregon Dunes for the US Forest Service. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University at Long Beach. He and his wife, Mary, an artist and retired teacher, have one adult son who lives in Eugene. Bob likes to write, and spend as much time as he can outdoors, camping, hiking, fly fishing, exploring deserts, and taking pictures.
