Garden Supply Drive for Seeds of Resistance

May 18 @ 9:00 am - May 22 @ 5:00 pm PDT

Help the community spread the joys of gardening! We’re collecting tools and supplies from May 18th-22nd.

The NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program has launched the Seeds of Resistance and Resilience Project, which will provide seeds, soil and gardening supplies vouchers, and instructions and recipes to NAACP communities across the nation. Locally, the Eugene/Springfield NAACP chapter is partnering with Food for Lane County and Lane County Mutual Aid to bring this program to our community.

We know that many friends and supporters of McKenzie River Trust are avid gardeners, and may have extra supplies to donate to this important effort. We will be coordinating a garden supply drive May 18th-22nd, and are asking for your donations!

We are seeking: organic soil, fertilizer, black plastic pots, sturdy ceramic/long-term use pots for container gardening, and gardening tools.

Please fill out this form if you would like to contribute items: https://forms.gle/cjS8ZUsuTKkT6is59

A McKenzie River Trust employee will coordinate the donation, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
