Region: Willamette Valley

Watershed: McKenzie

Join us Saturday, February 17th from 9:30am-12pm for a morning along the beautiful McKenzie River! The Finn Rock Reach restoration project contributes to clean water and supports habitat for many endangered or threatened species including Spring Chinook Salmon, Western Pond Turtles, and Pacific Lamprey.

We are celebrating the completion of this large-scale restoration work with an extensive community replanting party. McKenzie River Trust staff will be on-site to share project details and guide volunteers in replanting efforts.

Work will include bending, lifting, digging, and walking on slopes or uneven ground.

Finn Rock Reach is located just outside of Blue River, Oregon. Driving directions and specifics of where to meet will be sent after you have completed registration, ahead of the event.

You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along the water's edge after we are done working!

For volunteer safety, please come prepared with:

  • Pants to protect your legs
  • Close-toed shoes
  • Waterproof layers or sunscreen (depending on the weather)
  • Water bottle and snacks to stay hydrated and comfortable
