Charlie Quinn

Senior Philanthropy Advisor

Charlie joined the staff of McKenzie River Trust in 2023, but he and his family have been active members of MRT since they moved back to Eugene in 2001, as well as Confluence Legacy Club members since 2011. After growing up all around the Pacific Rim and spending nearly 28 years leading field trips and doing major gift fundraising for The Nature Conservancy, Charlie decided it was time for him to focus more on his local watersheds. In addition to being an expert in planned and complex gifts, he is an avid naturalist and author of A Nature Guide to the Southwest Tahoe Basin. Charlie designed his own major through Stanford’s Human Biology Program with an area of concentration in Humans and Conservation Ecology and has worked with taxa ranging from checkerspot butterflies to golden eagles. He’s always eager to get out with others to enjoy the full breadth of wonders our natural world has to offer – and help make sure our natural world is there to benefit future generations as well!
