Sam grew up in the Redwood forests of Central California where he gained an appreciation for nature through Scouting. Sam recently completed his Fish & Wildlife Science BS and GIS certificate through Oregon State University. He is an advocate for adaptive management, sustainability, and rematriation. When Sam is not restoring the land he is out enjoying it, through backpacking, paddling, and cycling.
