Wesley was born and raised a stone’s throw from the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers, where he spent his most formative years exploring the dynamic and rich riparian habitats along their banks. Prior to arriving at the McKenzie River Trust, Wesley pursued environmental studies at the University of Oregon, volunteered on Green Island, and spent a decade working within the organic and fair trade industries. When not in office managing operations from MRT’s headquarters, you’ll often find Wesley writing, singing, running, kayaking, or backpacking and climbing in the majestic peaks of the high cascades where our mighty rivers begin.
